主要从事脊椎动物保护生物学和适应性演化机制研究。应用组学技术和生物信息学手段，解析谱系生物地理规律、探索特殊环境适应的脊椎动物演化机制；新发突发野生动物传染病监测及病源生态学、病原微生物耐药与生物安全研究。
